Inspired by summers Bon Jovi spent vacationing in the Hamptons with family, his son is said to have come up with the name “Hampton Water.”Jesse, a Notre Dame graduate also played on the Football team.

WRS Chamber's Scholarship Committee Donates to Students

WRS Chamber's Scholarship Committee donated to students this month

Part of the Wading River-Shoreham Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to help the community. Through the Chamber’s events held through out the year, part of the monies raised is allocated to student scholarships. This year we were able to give scholarships to students at both Shoreham-Wading River School District and Riverhead School District.

The Wading River-Shoreham Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Committee would like to congratulate Katy LoScalzo & Dylan Kitchen, this year's winners of a Scholarship at SWR SD and Taylor Roman of Riverhead SD.  The scholarships were presented by Millie Thomas of Landmark Realty of Long Island, Maria Tranzchina of Pazzo Restaurant, and Suzanne Cohen of Shoreline Family Dentistry in Wading River.

2019 Earth Day Clean Up.. Great Success!!

An open letter to the residents of SWR,
I would like to personally thank all of the volunteers that cleaned up the beaches and roads of SWR. The Wading River Shoreham Chamber of Commerce sponsored Earth Day Clean UP took just 3 hours time, Sunday morning. We had Girl Scouts, local businesses and local people taking care of the litter problem, which is island wide. The list is too long to name everyone.
All in all, we covered most of the beaches from Echo to WR Beach and most of the hidden neighborhood accesses. We did get most of the major roads. I estimate that we collected 150 bags of litter and debris.
Now, you may see some spots that were not cleaned. We tried our best to get to what we could. We hope that next year more residents will join in so we can get every major road.

I would like to especially thank both Townships for making this work. Especially the Riverhead Police Department and Wading River Fire Department. Fire Chiefs Branden Heller and Denise Gluck, and Chief of Department Bitalvo were the ones who made us safe on the beaches and on the roads.

Again, thank you SWR you are AWESOME!
